Quote for 7/8/08

"The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your
character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become. Your
integrity is your destiny it is the light that guides your way."
Heraclitus

This gave me an amusing memory... When I was little, in Catechism we were taught that each time we sinned, we received a black mark on our soul and that the really bad sinners had black souls. It was a very vivid image for me... For some reason I pictured our "souls" much like the white collar on a nun's habit and I would imagine that covered with black tally marks. Ah, Catholicism.

Wink;
What we really need to remember though is that the red blood of Jesus washes all of those black tally marks away and leaves us white as snow again.
